Under the guidance of the State of Maine Plan to Restart Maine's Economy, the attached policies and procedures will be in place for patrons of the Skehan Recreation Center, and for outdoor programming at Town of Hampden facilities. MASKS ARE REQUIRED TO BE WORN FOR ALL PARTICIPANTS AT ALL TIMES.  BUFFS AND FACE SHIELDS ARE NOT ALLOWED. (as of Maine Executive Order dated 11/6/2020)DUE TO COVID-19 PARTICIPANTS ARE ASKED TO PROVIDE THEIR OWN EXERCISE MAT AND HAND WEIGHTS FOR PERSONAL USE ONLY. Drop in program.  Co-ed senior fitness class instructed by Physical Therapist, Dana Tardif, with focus on strength and balance at your own pace.  Fee is per person, per day.Building open at 8:30 AM to walk for a warm up in advance of the class on Monday, Wednesday, and Friday, and is included in the drop in fee for the class.

This class is made for folks who have done some dancing and are familiar with basic steps such as: grape vine, shuffle, kick ball change, jazz box, lock steps, weaves, and other goodies.  We are a group of 15-25 (depending on the time of year) mostly female dancers age 60s-80s. We dance to all kinds of music, country, oldies, and some new stuff. We do boot scootin' stuff, contemporary stuff, as well as waltzes and occasional tango! Line dancing is good for your body and your mind. We need to keep the brain cells as active as the muscles! Think of it as doing a puzzle, math, memory games and sweating!  You can't burn calories doing crosswords and sudoko! Come on in!Drop in program.  This is a co-ed class for adults.  Fee is per person, per day.

Line dancing is not difficult once you know the basics.  Each dance is the same steps in a different order to different music.Do you know how and haven't been on the dance floor lately?  Come join us! This class is made for folks who have done some dancing and are familiar with basic steps such as: grape vine, shuffle, kick ball change, jazz box, lock steps, weaves, and other goodies.  We are a group of 15-25 (depending on the time of year) mostly female dancers age 60s-80s. We dance to all kinds of music, country, oldies, and some new stuff. We do boot scootin' stuff, contemporary stuff, as well as waltzes and occasional tango! Line dancing is good for your body and your mind. We need to keep the brain cells as active as the muscles! Think of it as doing a puzzle, math, memory games and sweating!  You can't burn calories doing crosswords and sudoko! Come on in!Drop in program.  This is a co-ed class for adults.  Fee is per person, per day.

(as of Maine Executive Order dated 11/6/2020)Need a New form of exercise that is fun and helps with the body and mind? Come join us line dancing! Line dancing is not difficult once you know the basics.  Each dance is the same steps in a different order to different music.Do you know how and haven't been on the dance floor lately?  Come join us! This class is made for folks who have done some dancing and are familiar with basic steps such as: grape vine, shuffle, kick ball change, jazz box, lock steps, weaves, and other goodies.  We are a group of 15-25 (depending on the time of year) mostly female dancers age 60s-80s. We dance to all kinds of music, country, oldies, and some new stuff. We do boot scootin' stuff, contemporary stuff, as well as waltzes and occasional tango! Line dancing is good for your body and your mind. We need to keep the brain cells as active as the muscles! Think of it as doing a puzzle, math, memory games and sweating!  You can't burn calories doing crosswords and sudoko! Come on in!Drop in program.  This is a co-ed class for adults.  Fee is per person, per day.

The Skehan Recreation Center is limited to a gathering size of 50 at all times.  The number or participants and spectators may have to be limited to align with gathering size.  We will work to determine the best breakdown for groups and program day/time once interest is determined and pandemic conditions allow.  We apologize but we are unable to accept specific requests for teammates or coaches this season.  Volunteer coaches and assistants will be needed for this program.  The potential season would be 5 weeks in length beginning the week of January 4.  Groups would be split by grades and gender where appropriate, and  each cohort would practice and play during their 90 minute program time.  Sessions would be held weeknights from 6-7:30 pm (limited to one group per night) or on Saturdays. Program Notices: Covid-19 participant wavier will be included at program registration check out for your electronic signature. Line dancing is not difficult once you know the basics.  Each dance is the same steps in a different order to different music.Do you know how and haven't been on the dance floor lately?  Come join us! This class is made for folks who have done some dancing and are familiar with basic steps such as: grape vine, shuffle, kick ball change, jazz box, lock steps, weaves, and other goodies.  We are a group of 15-25 (depending on the time of year) mostly female dancers age 60s-80s. We dance to all kinds of music, country, oldies, and some new stuff. We do boot scootin' stuff, contemporary stuff, as well as waltzes and occasional tango! Line dancing is good for your body and your mind. We need to keep the brain cells as active as the muscles! Think of it as doing a puzzle, math, memory games and sweating!  You can't burn calories doing crosswords and sudoko! (as of Maine Executive Order dated 11/6/2020)DUE TO COVID-19 PARTICIPANTS ARE ASKED TO PROVIDE THEIR OWN EXERCISE MAT AND HAND WEIGHTS FOR PERSONAL USE ONLY. Drop in program.  Co-ed senior fitness class instructed by Physical Therapist, Dana Tardif, with focus on strength and balance at your own pace.  Fee is per person, per day.Building open at 8:30 AM to walk for a warm up in advance of the class on Monday, Wednesday, and Friday, and is included in the drop in fee for the class.
